Butterfly in the House

A butterfly that comes indoors and lingers is one of the most tenderly held signs in Filipino homes. Many families read it as a departed loved one dropping by, especially a black or dark one soon after a death. A bright one is often taken as news or a visitor on the way. Nobody shoos it out.
